This has been done three times in cricket.

The first was in 1960, by Alan Davidson for Australia against the West Indies. He scored 124 and took 11-222. The game ended in a tie. However, no hundred was scored, scores of 44 and 80 were posted.

The first occaision where a hundred was scored was by Ian Botham for England against India, scoring 114 in the first innings and did not bat in the 2nd and took 13-126. England won by 10 wickets.

The other occaision was Imran Khan for Pakistan also against India. Scoring 117 and taking 11-180. Pakistan won by 10 wickets.

There was other records broken in this game, as the first time 4 centuries were scored in the Pakistan innings of 652 (Javed Miandad, Zaheer Abbas, Saleem Malik and Imran Khan). Also Zaheer Abbas became the first Pakistani to score 3 centuries in consecutive innings. Also, Kapil Dev became the first bowler to concede 200 runs in an innings against Pakistan.
