I take it you are referring to a North American aboriginal rather than a native of India.

This is not a cut-and-dried issue since there have been several players with aboriginal blood who have played in the NHL-- going back many decades. The question is whether we classify "Indian" as one who is proven to be 100% aboriginal or who is a Metis (partly aboriginal).
