In the 2005 Champions League Final in Istanbul, AC Milan went ahead through goals from captain Paulo Maldini, then went into half time 3-0 up after Hernan Crespo scored twice. In the first 15 minutes of the 2nd half though a Steven Gerrard header and Goals from Vladimir Smicer and Xabi Alonso brought it back to 3-3 before Liverpool won the shoot-out and tournament.
