There is currently no single captain however there're three alternate captains:

* Tomas Kaberle

* Mike Komisarek

* Francois Beauchimen

Begin November the decision will be made who's going to follow-up Matt Sudin as since he left the team in 2008 no other Leafs player has weared the C on his Jersey

The first captain was Clarence Day. He captained the Leafs from 1927 to 1937.

Second, Charlie Conacher - 1937 - 1938

Third, Reginald Horner - 1938 - 1940

Fourth, Syl Apps - 1940 - 1943 , 1945 - 1948 (Syl Apps went to war in 1942 and came back in 1945. He then regained his captaincy.)

Fifth, Bob Davidson - 1943 - 1945

6th, Tim Kennedy - 1948 - 1955

7th, Sid Smith - 1955 - 1956

8th, Jim Thomson - 1956 - 1957

9th, George Armstrong - 1957 to 1969

10th, Dave Keon - 1969 - 1975

11th, Darryl Sittler - 1975 - 1981

12th, Rick Vaive - 1981 - 1986

13th, Rob Ramage - 1989 - 1991

14th, Wendel Clark - 1991 - 1994
