In 2009 these were the participants in the Slam Dunk Contest:
Nate Robinson (New York Knicks)
Dwight Howard (Orlando Magic)
J.R. Smith (Denver Nuggets)
Rudy Fernández (Portland Trail Blazers)
Howard and Robinson made advanced to the Final Round.
Robinson won by receiving 52% of fan voting via text messaging.
I have to strongly suggest that De Mar DeRozan is the man to watch. That kid is everything you want in a NBA player, but let's not forget the other contenders.
Nate Robinson is indeed gonna defend that title, I am sure he's got some new tricks to match that. Nevertheless, I think he won't be a winner.
Gerald Wallace...well, he's been around for quite a while now, my first pick goes to DeMar..my second would be Gerald, there is no doubt that them two will be fighting hard for it.
Given the fact that both De Mar and Gerald are both the exact same weight and height, 6'7 and 220 lbs will make the contest more exciting, and there has been rumours of a big competition between them.
Shannon Brown and Eric Gordon are good, but not that good to win it, It shoudn't be a problem for De Mar to defeat Eric Gordon in their head to head.
With no more to add, I think DeMar DeRozan is 100% the winner.
