Archibald's father, Jimmothy "Dale" Manning was a wealthy landowner in Houston, Texas, who got into the oil game while he was young, but then because of a history of abuse and neglect, turned to drugs and alcohol, causing him to commit suicide when Archibald was only 19. The interesting thing about the suicide is that, Dale hung himself on a door, and could have easily stood up and saved his own life. Archibald found the body and the closet and cut the belt and tried to save his father's life by breathing into a purple face, but the only thing that came of it was a bad taste in his mouth and a sick stomache...
