Difficult to say there are a few contenders. Pierre Thomas is a great threat when fit, Mark Ingram who was a 1 round pick of the 2011 draft. Then we have Darren Sproles who we brought in from San Diego to relplace Reggie Bush and not to forget Chris Ivory who had a great rushing average last season.

Rookie Mark Ingram, the Heisman Trophy winner from Alabama, appears to have the inside track as the Saints' starting running back. But he will share duties with veterans Pierre Thomas and Darren Sproles.
