Yes but then got charged and went to jail for dog fighting
According to the reccent survey done in late January of 2009 the total number of people arrested due to dog fighting per year is about 2,500
Michael Vick committed the crime of dog fighting a while ago and was just recently released and was signed by the eagles as the temporary quarterback. He did good his first season so most likely he will be name the permanet quarterback
As of 2008, dog fighting is a felony in all 50 states & the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico & the U.S. Virgin Islands. In most states, the possession of dogs for the purpose of fighting is also a felony offense. Being a spectator at a dog fight is illegal in all states except Montana & Hawaii.

Dog the bounty hunter was arrested in Mexico after apprehending a United States fugitive. Not knowing his attempt to arrest said criminal was far out of his jurisdiction, he was then arrested by Mexican federal agents on kidnapping charges. He was also sentenced to five years in prison in 1976 for the murder of a drug dealer.
Serious enough for it to be a felony for fighting dogs or owning a fighting dog.
No dog is a great fighting dog. All dog fighting is a disgusting display.
The Quarterback challenge was cancelled in 2007, thanks in part to Michael Vick being charged with illegal dog fighting and the time and money it would have taken to edit him out of the previously-recorded competition. It was permanently cancelled later that year, to which I say, "WTF!??"
Dog fighting is still going on today.
Michael Vick is the only one so far. that we know of. hopefully no one else will be dumb enough.
