LeMoyne (I am a graduate so there is obvious bias) has won the National Championship 3 times in the last 5 years benn to the final four the last 8 years and is currently ranked number 1 this year posting a 16-0 record heading into the final. Furthermore the school is, academically, ranked as one of the best for small private schools in the Northeast. Laxpower.com uses computer rankings (we all know how popular they are in College Football) and does rank CW Post #1 despite LeMoyne being #1 in the human poll. currently (2009) it is C.W. Post from new york.

It depends upon the league/sport. In the NFL, for example, the team with the best overall record wins their division. In the event of a tie, the division record acts as the tiebreaker. I believe the best conference record wins the conference in NCAA Football, regardless of overall record. Then there are the league like the NHL, where a team earns 2 points for a win, 1 for a tie or post regulation loss--with the team accumulating the most points winning their division/conference.

Division 2
In the NFL, when a team clinches the division, this means the team will finish with the best record in the division and will make the playoffs as a 1, 2, 3 or 4 seed( depending on the records of the other division winners). Clinching a playoff birth means that a team will make the playoffs but have not won the division yet (pending on their chances to win the division). If a team clinches a playoff berth but not division, they will get either the 5 or 6 seed in the playoffs.
