Marasis are a muslim tribe, similar to gypsies, belonging to the Punjab area of India and Pakistan. While widespread throughout Indian Punjab, most migrated to Pakistan during the partition. They perform odd-jobs and are entertainers and jokers. They usually earn by singing and entertaining in public, in fairs and in marriage functions and doing odd-jobs, selling flowers/goods.
