The record holder is currently Barry Bonds. However, due to steroid allegations, many suggest putting an asterisk next to his name in the record books, claiming that he used steroids to achieve this historic feat. Other suggest wiping his name out completely, renaming Hank Aaron the home run king. Bonds has 762 home runs, Hank Aaron has 755, Babe Ruth has 714.

This is correct that Barry Bonds has the most homeruns, but he used steroids, so the player with the most homeruns (without using steroids) is Hank Aaron.
