The NBA Pelicans, officially known as the New Orleans Pelicans, are a professional Basketball team based in New Orleans, Louisiana. They compete in the Western Conference of the NBA and were established in 2002 as the New Orleans Hornets before rebranding to the Pelicans in 2013. The team's colors are navy, gold, and red, and they play their home games at the Smoothie King Center. The Pelicans have made several playoff appearances but are still striving for their first NBA championship.
