The Edmonton Eskimos are a community-owned, professional football team, playing in the Canadian Football League (CFL). Their colours are green and gold. They began operations in 1949, led by the legendary Annis Stukus. In the mid-1950s, led by another legend, Jackie Parker, they tied a record by winning three straight Grey Cup Games. Later, with the incomparable Warren Moon at the helm, they surpassed the record, winning five consecutive championships from 1978-1982. It's a record that may never be equalled, let alone broken. Both on and off the field, the Edmonton Eskimos are one of best franchises in the CFL. They have appeared in 22 Grey Cup games, winning 13 and losing 9.
