Gaelic Football is one of Ireland's national sports. There are too many famous people to mention that have been involved with the sport. One of the most successful players in the 1940s, Jack Lynch, became the head of the Irish government in 1960s and 1970s. Some of his success at getting into politics would have been because he was such a well known player. He is the best example, but there are many other people that have gone on to be famous in Ireland through first having involvement in Gaelic Football.
