I believe that it remains Paul Thorburn - 1986, the penalty taken against Scotland in the Cardiff Arms Park (Original National Stadium) . The kick measured exactly 70 Yards and 8 and a half inches.
There is an other similar one here What_is_the_longest_drop_kick_ever_in_rugby
François Steyn did a 60 meters one that went far away after the posts.
Whilst this drop kick is a record this means that Steyn holds the drop goal record of 60 meters which equals 196.85 feet.
Thornburn still holds the formal record of 210 feet 8 and half inches as a placed penalty. These may take some beating.
Devon Hester
No one really records kick height.
Mr. Lee.
The longest kick in history is 63 yards whose record is shared between Jason Elam and Tony Dorsett.
Oh simpson
Devin Hester - Chicago Bears
That would be Gary Anderson. Not only was he a prolific kicker for the Steelers, but he still holds the record for points scored in the NFL by a single player with 2,434 points. No active player is even close to this phenomenal record.
I am not entirely certain but I believe it was a game when Alabama played GT in Atlanta in 1980 and it was a quick kick on third down with Tech deep in the hole...The QB rolled out and did a rugby stype kick that went about 82 yards... bear Bryant was not expecting this.
Emile Heskey
The fastest I've seen and heard about was a Roberto Carlos free kick which was around the 140km/h mark.English striker David Hirst could hold the record for fastest kick ever with a strike of 114 mph.See related links for more officially recorded soccer kick speeds.
59 yard free kick by Corey Smith:
free kick is a kick just free kick
