stx or debeer
the most popular brand is debeer, but the best is based on one's own opinion, so there is no correct answer
the metal part is the shaft the top the holds the ball is called the head and the net is the mesh
If you want to buy the stick head alone, it would probably be better to buy the complete stick. It will come with the shaft that is most compatible with the head. Otherwise go to a store and feel for yourself a bunch of debeer shafts. Pretty much every shaft will work for every head as long as they are made by the same company. I am considering buying the NV3 myself, and I am buying the complete stick so not to coplicate my life and hunt for the perfect shaft.
It really dependes on the player. They might prefer STX, Warrior, deBeer, or maybe Brine. There are tons of models, made for how experienced the player is.-laxgirl18
The deBeer Myssy Youth and the Response are really good sticks especially if you are not that experienced. They're also great because they have a wider head which helps with catching the ball better and a canted top rail on the head which helps with learning how to catch the ball better.
It is better to hit with your hands together on your stick. When ever i hit with my shoulder people go flying, but it is easier to get called. so it is safer to hit with your hands.
