The majority of states do not have football teams. If you need to know them all then here is the list. Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington (the Redskins are in Washington D.C.), West Virginia, and Wyoming. I didn't list New Jersey because the Jets and Giants actually play in New Jersey, not New York.
I would say the New England Patriots and Carolina, as they represent more than one state. There are also several states that are home to more than one team such as California, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas and Missouri.
Also I would say Washington Redskins if you want to get technical because they are not from Washington the state, but Washington D.C. which lays on two states and is considered a district.
NFL teams with states in their names (as opposed to cities) include:
The Tennessee Titans, Minnesota Vikings, Arizona Cardinals and Carolina Panthers.
One team name encompasses a "region" - the New England Patriots.
The New York Jets & The New York Giants don't play in New York they play in New Jersey also The Cowboys play in Texas but they don't play in Dallas they actually play in Arlington. Hope this answers your question.
49ers are getting a New Stadium but they won't be playing in San Francisco anymore they will be playing in Santa Clara once its built
