The most sacked QBs since 2008(in last 5 years) are
1. Aaron Rodgers
2. Ben Roethlesberger
3. Joe Flacco.
Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers are considered the two best QBs in the NFL today by many, but have completely different styles. Aaron tends to not throw the ball away and take the sack which boosts his completion percentage but takes more sacks, while Brady usually throws it away before the sack leading to slightly lower completions. Brady tends to read defenses faster, but Rodgers is more athletic and mobile. Brady has more SBs but Rodgers is Younger so who has the better career may take 10 years to know for sure, both are special QBs. I contrasted styles of Brady and Rodgers and noted their both considered at the top of the league to explain why Rodgers can be sacked so many times while a couple of the other top 3 QBs aren't on this list, styles are different.
Roethlesberger is fairly mobile but tends to hold the ball and hold it some more while waiting for the home run, and is a good passer with many long bombs for TDs. Despite being big and durable this is why he tends to get injured a lot. Will likely look for faster release times if he is to extend his career.
Flacco has substantially lower regular season numbers then these other guys but has performed well in the playoffs and won a Super Bowl. He is a very durable QB despite the many sacks. Flacco does like to throw deep but he also tends to have a slower release anyway then say Rodgers. I think out of these 3 he may be the biggest enigma and will take several more years to see exactly what type of QB he is. Mainly, he has recently gotten a big contract as well as Rodgers, and lost many of his team leaders and a key WR and TE, and will be counted on to help carry the team more this year. It could be a year that cements his status or reveals an inability to play on a high level with depleted talent. Interesting to watch.
