Mel Hughlett was a Seattle SuperSonic rookie in 1977. He was a rugged 6' 7" post and 'four' type Basketball player whose strength was rebounding, defense and floor knowledge. Mel was a starter for the Sonic's rookie team but was injured early into exhibtion season. After release Mel played briefly in Brazil and Europe.
