The National Hockey League played its first outdoor game on September 27, 1991 in the parking lot next to Caesars Palace in Las Vegas under the sun & Stars (no roof). At game time the temperature at night was a cool 87 degrees F, just imagine what it was during the day! A little know company, Ice Rink Supply, provided the technical direction to bring about the ice surface utilizing internationally patent ice building & ice maintenance products invented by Michael Rzechula. Rzechula is know around the globe for his vast knowledge in the ice rink industry, having grown the industry since 1966!
