How is it possible for Canadian players to play US college basketball?
You have to convert form Canadian to American, then apply to a
US College, and hopefully make it, then you have to try out for
Basketball and work hard to get a scholorship. If a Canadian
basketball player is really good, he might get noticed although it
isn't easy. The level of competition isn't as good in Canada, so
even a great player might be met with some skepticism. It's not
unheard of though. Rick Fox was talented enough to play for Dean
Smith. Jamaal Magliore shined for Rick Pitino's Kentucky
championship teams. Reigning NBA MVP Steve Nash didn't seem to get
much attention from big-time schools (he played college ball for
the Santa Clara squad the upset Arizona in the 1993 NCAA
tournament), but he's getting the last laugh now. The same way it
is possible for Canadians to attend US Universites...with an
educational visa. :)
