Brought up in the Baltimore area he went to a local elementary school. He was considered to be an "incorrigible kid", and had to be removed. When Babe Ruth was seven years old his parents placed him in St. Mary's Industrial School (Baltimore), an institution for underprivileged boys.

Babe Ruth has been ranked by some as the greatest Baseball player of all time. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland in a tough neighborhood known as Pigtown. His father sent him to a reform school and an orphanage, St. Mary's Industrial School for Boys, when he was pretty young, only seven years old. Ruth spent the next 12 years of his life there before being picked up by the minor-league Balitmore Orioles.

I don't know that that information is known. According to a biography of Wagner he went to 'public school before transferring to the small wooden schoolhouse adjacent to St. John's Lutheran Church' in Mansfield, Pennsylvania. He attended school until the age of 15 when he quit to go to work in the coal mines.
