There are no plans to do it. When the choice was made to drop it in 2005, it was a financial decision, not a fanbase one. The possibility is always open, as ESPN and ABC are both owned by the same company, but no one has made that option. Also, if they do move it back (or simulcast it like the NBA Finals), they will not be able to air playoff games, because the multi-year rights are locked for NBC.
