"Wiff Waff" By the English Both 'wiff-waff' and 'ping-pong' are believed to originate from the sound made during the game. Ping-Pong was trademarked in 1901 by J Jaques & Son Ltd, but the term was in use much earlier, in the early 1800s at least.
Wiff Waff was the name given to a game that the lords would play on large dinner tables using cigar box lids as paddles and a cork as the object. It was thought that the game was frst played over 300 years ago. The game evolved into table tennis and then nicknamed 'ping pong'. The term wiff waff was given to the game because of the sound the paddle and the cork would make when struck together. Answer- HELL YEA BORRIS RULES!!!!
