Who wore number 7 in the NHL?

Actually, the NHL had 7 teams prior to the 1941/42 season. In 1942, the New York Americans dropped out of the league and the NHL operated with six teams until 1967. There was no "seventh" team , as such, because the NHL added a full six teams at the same time to bring the league's number up to 12.

Do canucks suck?

I'll assume you're talking about the NHL hockey team. Heck, no. They won the Presidents Trophy last year as the best team in the regular season and they made it to the Stanley Cup final. This year (2011-12) they are still amongst the top teams in the NHL. They haven't truly sucked since the late 90's.
