I won't be 100%... It seems to me that the Heisman is like an MVP trophy (though many say otherwise). The winner has to accomplish a great personal feat in statistics in combination with his team's accomplishments rising to the occasion.
This spits in the face of the media saying it isn't a MVP of Baseball type award and that the team doesn't factor in, other than being a visibly respectable entity. This is the original intentions.
On the Cam Newton situation in Auburn. The NCAA and Heisman committee's are going to legislate integrity from here on... Mostly this is the new science of Heisman. Not trying to take back another trophy and definitely not within a season of Reggie Bush's problems.
Personally, I think Cam Newton doesn't deserve the Heisman. His numbers speak for his legit shot. This thing is a farce that is going to blow up if he is invited to the finals... And just like the Bush situation, (the public starts hearing about his final year at USC) the NCAA can investigate this whenever that they want to after the appeals process has ended by Auburn(stalling tactic like Filibuster).
