Whomever thought that Walter Payton could run a 40 yard dash time of 3.9 is crazy..He was quick, never fast..Barry Sanders ran in the 4.3's..Bo Jackson, Chris Johnson 2 of the fastest ever, ran in the 4.2's..Most Olympic sprinters can't run under 4 seconds..Payton is my favorite running back, i have met him and have seem him on TV and live. He was a power runner with great agility and quickness but not great top end speed..he ran in the 4.6-4.7's but his game speed looks much faster.
