Two hours prior to first pitch.
The Cubs first season at Wrigley Field was 1916. At the time, the ballpark was known as Weeghman Park.

The gates open at Target Field 1 hour and 30 minutes before game time on Monday - Thursday games. Example: If the game is at 7:10 on any Monday - Thursday game, the gates will open at 5:40. And on weekends (Friday - Sunday) the gates open 2 hours before game time. You usually won't be able to see the Twins batting practice on week day since they start around 5, but on weekends you are there early enough to see them!
Wrigley Field has hosted 6 world series. They were in 1923, 1929, 1932, 1936, 1938, and 1945. Of course, the Cubs did not win any of those series. Wrigley field did not exist the last time the Cubs won in 1908 as it was only built in 1914.
Two Hours B4 Game Time!
Gates open when they feel like waking up. On weekends they wake up around 3p.m. During the week though, they have to get up at 6:30a.m. to go to school.
Gates open at 5.30. Concert at 7.30
Wrigley Field actually doesnt have a future... due to a mass loss of interest in the Chicago Cubs after fans finally came to terms with the fact that the Cubs will never win the world series again, and the the fact that the White Sox are, in general, an all together better team. It is hoped that Wrigley Field will be knocked down some time in the near future to make room for a White Sox superfan memorabilia store.
Night time in your dreams
You should be able to take the L downtown on the Orange line from Midway and then change trains downtown at the Roosevelt stop. At the Roosevelt stop, board a Northbound Red Line train (the signs on the train will say "Howard") and ride the train to the Addison stop. Wrigley Field will be one block west of the Addison stop.
