Former Welsh international footballer and current Fulham manager Mark Hughes played for Manchester United between 1980 and 1986, Barcelona between 1986 and 1988, and Bayern Munich on loan in 1987 and 1988. He then rejoined Manchester United, where he played between 1988 and 1995, before joining Chelsea, where he played until 1998.

After leaving Chelsea, he joined Southampton, where he played between 1998 and 2000, joining Everton, for whom he made 15 League appearances between March and October.

His final club was Blackburn Rovers, for whom he played between October 2000 and May 2002.
