Stirling Mortlock played in numerous representative teams such as Gordon Juniors as Wing, Outside Center and Fullback in the U10's, U11's, U12's and U16's. whilst attending the prestigious kings school he captained the A grade teams in the U13's, U14's U16's and captained the 1st XV in his final year, playing in the 1st's he received selection in the 1st GPS XV, however his selection into the Australian schoolboys team was cut short due to injury.
