The quarterback that was on the most Super Bowl teams was backup Gale Gilbert. He was on the roster of the four Buffalo Bills teams that went to the Super Bowl (Super Bowls XXV through XXVIII) and the San Diego Chargers team that played in Super Bowl XXIX, a total of five Super Bowls. Incredibly, his team lost the Super Bowl each time.

The MN Vikings have had at least five African-Americans start a regular season game: Warren Moon, Randall Cunningham, Duante Culpepper, Spergon Wynn and Joe Webb.

Updated 8.2.11

As of the start of the 2011 season, The Minnesota Vikings and Tampa Bay Bucs are tied with six African-American QBs that have started a regular season or playoff game. However, The Viking have just signed Donovan McNabb. When the season begins he would become the Vikings' 7th African American starting QB in their history.

That's a good question and I don't really know if that statistic is kept. Most teams keep three quarterbacks on their roster.

I'm a Philadelphia fan, but I have to say the New England Patriots with Tom Brady. He was even rate the best player in the NFL for the year 2011
