This was true up until 2008.. Michigan definitely does not have it now. Since the question is about the current winning streak and not the past, Florida State University (FSU) has the longest streak of consecutive winning seasons. That may be in jeopardy as they are 6-6 going into their Bowl game. FSU & WVU meet in the Gator Bowl New Years Day. The game was sold out within hours of the matchup. In fact, they had to bring in 6,000 extra seats bringing the total to almost 84,000 which will be more than any BS Bowl brings in. FSU has beaten WVU in the 2004 Gator Bowl when WVU was a much better team than they are now. We'll see if that streat continues. They also beat them in the 1982 Gator Bowl. The only other time they've played.

Linfield has not had a losing football season since the 1950s.

Division III school Mount Union in Ohio holds the NCAA record for consecutive wins with 55 between 2000-2003.

The Division I record is held by the University of Oklahoma who won 47 straight games between 1953-1957. Michigan has 41 consecutive wins.

As of October 18, 2007 the Division II record is held jointly by Hillsdale of Michigan and Grand Valley State of Michigan at 34 games. The Grand Valley streak is current and they can gain hold of the all time record with a victory over Northwood on October 20, 2007.

88 consecutive wins by John Wooden's UCLA Bruins. Yes, the same Wooden that won 10 championships. The record was snapped by the Houston Cougars(I believe they won the championship that year anyway). If you want ALL colleges, it would be Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa, IA with 89 wins from 1997-1999.

# F.U.U.S.

The streak was ended by Notre Dame, not Houston, on Jan. 14, 1974. Nd scored 12 straight points in the final 2:11. Dwight Clay hit a jumper from the baseline with 0:29 left to provide the final 71-70 margin. Best Basketball contest I ever attended.

Michigan has the most wins in Division I-A College Football.

From 1907 to 1917, Washington football teams were unbeaten in 63 consecutive games, fielding 1930 points, and allowing only 118, still an NCAA Division I-A record
