I am creating a database of recent results from the top 5 divisions of English football. I have a complete record for each of those divisions for the current season plus the whole of last season for the Premiership. Within that sample, 173 out of 3528 are penalties. So about 1 in 20? I'll have the last 5 years of football in the database soon so if you want a more complete answer contact me through my bluebones.net website. Just out of interest, 53 out of 3528 are own goals. -- Update: I now have data on 33,671 English league and conference goals from the last 5 years. 1569 of 33,700 are penalties. 448 are own goals.
Ronaldo has score 145 goals.
Someone told me Michael Owen, anyone confirm?
yes he is because he said that " Messi is good but I scored more goals than him, I scored way better headers but Messi just headed them, my parent's said that there is no new Pele and I scored better goals."
he had scored 12 to the year 2012 but then I do not know
Henrik Larsson, the Swedish football legend, is known for his goal-scoring prowess, including his ability to score headers. Throughout his professional career, he scored over 300 goals, with a significant number of those being headers. However, the exact count of headers is not widely documented, but it is estimated that he scored around 40 to 50 headers during his time at clubs like Celtic, Barcelona, and Manchester United, as well as for the Swedish national team.
Premier League only: of the 61 goals Torres has scored for Liverpool, 12 were with his head.
Easily Tim Cahill from Everton He has scored the most Goals from headers, and has amazing technique for such a short player.
Hmmm. A maths question, involving hockey, in a football thread. Double fail.
micky Owen
Ryan Giggs has scored 400 goals.
Beth goals = 2x
