Thread

This means that two needles were used to sew the top stitching. Thus the name, 'double top thread'.
At the beginning and end of your stitching, run underneath nearby stitches, on the underside, of course.
softballs
durahide softballs are usually/ should be less expensive and are often used in games for this reason. leather softballs are a lot better for pitching.

"Nylon thread" typically refers to a durable and versatile material used for sewing and crafting. The number "10" may indicate the thickness or weight of the thread, with higher numbers representing finer threads. It is commonly used for a variety of projects requiring strong and long-lasting stitching.
Single thread is used for simple sewing projects where a lighter weight thread is sufficient. Double thread is commonly used for stronger stitching and can provide added durability for seams that need to withstand more stress. Both threads have their own uses based on the type of fabric and project being worked on.
Embroidery is where you embroider, or sew thread or embroidery floss in different patterns on to a piece of fabric used often for decoration. One example is cross-stitching.
An unpicker, also known as a stitch remover. It is a tool with a handle and at one end and a hook device at the other that separates and cuts the thread.
The present day ball stitching machines, are used as a thread tightening device. The stitching thread control device tightly clamps the stitching thread for manufacturing the finished baseball so that the worker only needs to use minimum force to pull and set the stitches on balls. The operation of this device is convenient for workers. In the past Baseball Stitching clamps were used. This device was used to secure the baseball during the process of sewing on the cover by hand. In the early days the clamps were made of wood by locale woodworkers or carpenters, and later made of metal. The baseballs were both sewn at the factories or at home, the work done mostly by women. Two pieces of figure-eight-shaped cowhide is dampened to permit pliability and placed around a string wound core, then placed in the stitching clamp. The covers are stapled together to hold in place for stitching. The baseball is then hand-stitched together with 216 raised stitches. It takes about 13-14 minutes to hand sew a baseball.
