This is a new Referee issued card being tested in the Southern Hemisphere Super Rugby. From February 2012 it starts with referees armed with an additional white card to alert the citing commissioner 'when an act of foul play has occurred but the referee is not sure if a red card is warranted, or is unsure of the identity of the offender'. This will mean that hidden foul acts will be investigated and the offenders taken out of the game.
