Amongst 1st tier teams, the record for points scored in a Rugby International goes to New Zealand for their 145 points scored against Japan at the 1995 world cup (final score 145-17) and for an individual the record goes to Simon Culhane who scored 45 points in that match (1 try, 20 conversions). But the record in all test matches goes to Hong Kong who beat Singapore 164-13 in a 1994 World Cup qualifying match. In that match fullback Ashley Billington scored 10 tries for an individual total of 50 points.

Rochdale Hornets Danny Samuel managed to score a try timed at 7.9 seconds from kick off during Hornets match against Swinton Lions on the 8th of May 2010 at Sedgely Park.

You've got to feel sorry Swintons defence coping with three bad bounces.

Newtown Jets vs. Wentworthville Magpies, Henson Park, Sydney, May 2009 is the one currently doing the rounds of the news programmes as the 'world's fastest try'. Basically, Newtown kicked off, a W'ville player collected straight off the kick & just ran straight through the Bluebags defence & put it down between the posts. They said 7 seconds, on the day but now we're told it was 8.
