The new rule in regards to a 26-man roster in Major League Baseball only applies to day/night double headers that have been scheduled 48 hours in advance. Provided the double header fits this criteria then both teams will be allowed to call up a player from one of their Minor League teams without needing to option a player down to the Minor Leagues.
