Three seconds, same way for a defensive player, both are allowed only three seconds in the key.
In NBA, there a 4, 12 minute quarters. However, whenever there is foul, the ball goes out of court or there is a timeout, the clock is stopped.
If on offense they have 3 seconds in the key, if on defense they can stay as long as they like.
