There is only one species of wolf in the world, Canis lupus. There are only geographical forms just like with humans. Although Asian, African and Caucasian people look very much different, they are all the same species, Homo sapien. This geographical variation not only includes colour but size and many other characteristics. (That doesn't make them better or worse, just different.) Even the common house dog is the same species but designated by form as, Canis lupus familiaris. These different forms are sometimes called subspecies but they will all still interbreed.
