∙ 17y agoThe Model 37 is a pump gun, and the 51 is a semi-automatic. I doubt seriously that the barrels are interchangeable, since they are totally different models.

∙ 17y agoTechnically they are both "Featherweight", but the Deerslayer had a shorter barrel with rifle sights for shooting slugs or buckshot. It could also be fitted with a scope.

A Model 37 is a "pump", so a double barrel could not be a Model 37

this is a Lewis model made between 1905 1910.
It sounds to me that you have a Ithaca Flues model double barrel shotgun.With the serial number that you provided,your shotgun was made by Ithaca in 1917.
easy Look on the barrel it should say if it a Model 37 , or Model 37 Featherweight, but the main Point is it should be on the barrel what Model it is

In this model of Winchester rifle,there is no difference in value between the round or octagon barrel.

On my 1950s vintage Ithaca Model 37 16 gauge it is on the right side of the end of the receiver where the magazine tube and barrel go into the receiver, and also on the barrel adjacent to the number on the receiver. The numbers should be the same on both the barrel and receiver unless the barrel is not the original barrel, at least on mine they are.
