there are alot of possible cover plays in softball. covering means to back up other players on several possible situations on the field or it means a player should go to a base whether asigned to her or not.


These are plays needed to be done in practice. One example of a cover play is to assign the SS or 2nd base to cover 2nd base from a stolen base from 1st base.


Outfielders should cover infield players on any play to any of the infielders to make sure that balls will be protected if it passes any midfielder
