The 1981 NLCS went to a Game 5 and, going into the 9th inning of Game 5 that was played at Olympic Stadium in Montreal, the score was tied at 1-1. The Expos brought their best starting pitcher, Steve Rogers, into the game. After getting two quick outs, he gave up a home run to Rick Monday that gave the Dodgers the lead 2-1. The Expos got two walks in the bottom of the 9th but could not push across a run and they wound up losing the game and the NLCS.
