Liverpool vs. Manchester United.

No contest. These two teams hate each other with a bitter passion. They are the two most successful teams in English football history (both 18 titles each) and both are successful on the European stage too (Liverpool have 5 titles to United's 3).

They are located just 35 miles from each other and a lot of the rivalry also stems from inter city rivalry with Liverpool and Manchester oft competing for the same businesses in the region.
