I would probably say, I will give you a range to be more helpful, 180 to 200 lbs. Note: Size doesn't matter so much as strength. Noel Devine from West Virginia was 175 and he ran over guys twice his size.
5'10" 190lbs. used to be the average size, now they are between 5'11'' and 6'2'' and at least 200 lbs, most run 210-240 lbs(any bigger than 230 and your more looking at full back size.) I play running back at a D1-AA or D1-FCS school and I am 5'10'' 185lbs and I am considered very undersized. The other 3 running backs we have on the roster that I am competing with this fall are all over 200 lbs I am the only back on the roster under 200.
In the NFL, there are players as short as 5'6" and as tall as 6'8" with the average player height being about 6'3". To play in the NFL, height isn't as important as your ability to be a great football player. You need to have knowledge of the game, be physically fit, be a talented football player and not be afraid to get hit.
There is no limit, but size is important in the NFL.
