In the 2002 NFC Wildcard playoffs the Niners fell behind 38-14 to the NY Giants but exploded to 25 unanswered points behind Jeff Garcia, Terrell Owens, Eric Johnson, and Tai Streets; they still had to sweat out a last-minute Giants rally but a field goal try was blown on the snap and a botched endzone throw, ending a 39-38 Niners win, the last in the playoffs for the club to date.
