Not sure if this means in a game or in the leagues. In a game, it's simple. Whoever gets the most goals wins. Same amount of goals (or a scoreless result) and it's a draw. In the league table, the winning team gets 3 points and the losers 0. A draw is one point. If teams are level in the table, placings are decided on goal difference (goals scored - goals against).
