If you get walked that means the pitcher threw 4 balls to you and you did not swing you get to take a free base if the pitcher gets the ball and he is not on the mound you can run to second base

There's no fun in playing it safe. Why not try something a little unhinged?

I've made my fair share of mistakes, and if I can help you avoid a few, I'd sure like to try.

Pretend you're the batter. There were four pitches that went away from the strike zone and you didn't swing. Every pitch you DO NOT swing when it wasn't in the strike zone will be called "ball." Four of those "balls" will give you a walk. When you get a walk that means you just take the first base without any dangers of being tagged out. You also get a free first base if you GOT HIT BY THE PITCH UNLESS IT WAS THE BAT THAT TOUCHED THE Baseball. Now THAT would hurt if you got hit right in the n*ts, would'nt it?

While at bat, and without swinging at 4 pitches thrown outside the strike zone (called a 'ball'), you get awarded first base.
