Contraction of the word Fabulous, mainly British usage- as in Fab Four- The Beatles ( used absolutely -like the Union Jack as the National Flag!) Fab Four are the Beatles. FAB was used as a code phrase in the Science-fiction show Thunderbirds- it is said to mean Fully-advised- Briefed- and meant the responding squad member was responding to a call, usually a distress call- as the Thunderbirds were a futuristic Rescue Squad- called International Rescue or IR. FAB-I is both a custom car on the Thunderbirds ( a Pink six-wheeled Rolls-Royce) and was allegedly the license code number for Jayne Mansfield. As Jayne had several cars, there may have been several FABS. so that"s about the size of it.
