As of the beginning of the 2008 season, Kerry Wood is the Cubs' closer. He was nmoved to the bulpen in 2007 to take strain off his arm and keep him off the DL. He pitched his first game in 1.5 years on 8/5/07 as a reliever and it doesn't look like he'll be going back to being a started any time soon.
