His first pass was to himself ----Brett Favres first completion was caught by no other than " tough as nails" Brett himself. He was flushed out of the pocket to the left side and launched it. A defender though jumped into the air and deflected the ball, behind the line of scrimmage, high into the air. Brett Favre caught it himself and lost yards on the play. Some people try to say his first completion was an interception, but an interception does not count as a completion. It would be his firts pass attempt was an interception but not the first completion.Himself
Brett Favre without a doubt. Back in the day, he could throw 85 yarders. Even in his 40's he can throw 65+ yard bombs. Plus, he throws the slant route so hard, with so much velocity, that he broke every single one of Donald Driver's fingers and not even a radar gun could calculate how fast he threw the ball. Look it up on YouTube with "Brett Favre radar gun" and look up "Brett Favre rocket pass" and you'll see how hard he can throw it. If you want to see how far he can/could throw it, you'll have to look around, I don't know where any vids are on that, but I have seen him throw 85+ yard throws in the air in a game before in the 90s and in 2009, at age 40, he threw a 65+ yard throw to Sidney Rice (look up Sidney Rice 2009 highlights on YouTube) and again, he was 40 years old.

In competitive football, the length of the throw is not measured, but rather the length of the play (catch and run). The longest pass is 99 yards in US football and 109 yards in Canada, that being one yard less than the length of the field. There is no official record for Longest Throw, but a distance of 80-90 yards (73-82 m) seems to be considered the longest. NFL quarterbacks such as Steve Bartkowski, Randall Cunningham, and Jamarcus Russell (all tall, powerful throwers) have thrown the ball that far in the air. One NFL site lists an unofficial record for ball distance, which was 83 yards by Don Meredith of the Dallas Cowboys, part of a 95-yard pass to Bob Hayes on November 13, 1966.
Eagle Pass Air Force Station was created in 1942.
It is easy for air to pass across the wall of an air sac because the wall is thin.
He can throw maybe 90-85 yardshe's done a 99 yards , according to guiness world records anyway.99 yards was his official longest ball, but that wasn't all in the air. I have seen him throw it 75 yards though... hope that helps.now 70-75 yards before 75-80 yardsFrom the link mentioned directly below, we know its at least 76 yards. I have also read about throws of 78 yards and even 87 yards.See Related LinksSee the Related Link for "Milwaukee Journal Sentinel (Search for Favre)" to the right for the answer.
